SH0630 Automatic Bromine Valence Bromine Index Tester
The SH0630 automatic bromine valence bromine index analyzer adopts
the principle of microcoulometry titration (electric method). The
sample is injected into the titration cell, and the unsaturated
hydrocarbons of the sample undergo an addition reaction with
bromine in the electrolyte. By calculating the amount of
electricity consumed by generating bromine, the bromine valence and
bromine index of the sample can be calculated according to
Faraday's law of electrolysis. The electrolytic cell adopts a
specially made ceramic sand core instead of the previous ion
exchange membrane, which is more convenient to maintain, improves
measurement sensitivity, and results are more stable, accurate, and
reproducible.
Scope of application: The instrument is suitable for the
determination of bromine value and bromine index of petroleum and
chemical products such as gasoline, kerosene, diesel, lubricating
oil, and light and heavy aromatic hydrocarbons.
Bromine value, also known as bromine value, is an indicator of the
content of unsaturated hydrocarbons in organic matter. The grams of
elemental bromine consumed in a 100 gram sample are called bromine
valence, while the milligrams of bromine consumed in a 100 gram
sample are called bromine index. The higher the bromine value or
bromine index, the higher the content of unsaturated hydrocarbons
in the sample, that is, the higher the degree of unsaturation. In
oil production, this value is an important indicator for measuring
the stability of oil products. In some chemical production
processes (such as long-chain alkylation reactions), it can also be
used to roughly estimate the conversion rate of the product
